Children

I work with children and families who are dealing with issues such as trauma, anxiety, aggression, depression, school problems, family issues, self-regulation concerns, attachment issues, and behavioral problems. One of my specialties is play therapy.  I believe in a holistic approach to working with children, so I also work with parents to help with parenting, and will work with schools, if deemed appropriate.

Adolescents

I work with tweens and teens and addressing the unique challenges of the adolescent years.  I've found that it is often helpful for adolescents to have an unconditionally accepting relationship with someone outside the immediate family.  I also work with parents to help facilitate better communication and how to best meet the adolescent's needs.

Adults

I work with adults dealing with a wide array of concerns, to include anxiety, depression, anger, grief, loss, work stress, relationship concerns, and trauma.  I also work with parents to help them navigate the specific challenges that arise when raising and interacting with their children.   Additionally, I'm passionate about working with clients who are sexual abuse and incest survivors.

I can be reached at (817) 592-5529.  I will conduct a brief screening on the phone to determine if I will be a good fit for you and/or your child.

If for some reason you or your child might be better served by another therapist, I will find an appropriate referral.

Please note: I am not a crisis counselor, therefore I am unable to serve clients in imminent crisis.  If you are in imminent crisis, please go to your nearest emergency room or call 911.
